This project started with reimagining the existing home’s floor plan, which was complimented by a large addition consisting of a great room, primary suite, Movie Theater, and the relocation and design of a large family kitchen. Favoring a more traditional direction with a new focus on contemporary art, our clients requested a home that was comfortable for an active family. This project was an exercise in applying multiple finishes, colors, and textures to achieve a warm, traditional interior. The kitchen was custom-made in Lancaster, PA and features a custom-colored La Corneu range and hood. The design of the Dining Room started with the Degornay wall covering and an antique French chandelier. It was important that all rooms remained light and approachable, given the scale and detail brought to the project.
